Ilmari Kuura with Himalayan Mountain Salt

Like the first breath of a frosty morning, ILMARI KUURA is quiet and calming - part of the Northern soulscape. Made from Finnish soapstone, it becomes part of the sauna ritual, a moment to pause, open your senses and breathe.

ILMARI KUURA is not just a soapstone base for sauna salt; each is unique, created by nature and finished in the hands of a craftsman. Its unique and multi-layered colour variation is like the frost on a winter morning – magnificent and invigorating.

Using sauna salt in the ILMARI KUURA base brings together two pure, strong natural materials - salt and stone. The soapstone stores heat, optimising the performance of Kiuassuola which evaporates slowly, bringing a new depth to the steam.

It comes with one Himalayan rock salt portion sized for the base, which can last two months of twice-weekly sauna use. This much sought after salt gives an intense evaporation, but the base ensures the Kiuassuola lasts for several sauna sessions.

ILMARI KUURA is a collaboration between Kiuassuolan Lumo and Tulikivi, inspired by the natural forces in the North. It comes with a 6-month warranty, though please read the safety and usage instructions to avoid damage due to improper use.
